You don’t need a team; just come out and play!
Intramural sports here at Mount Saint Mary College combine fun, fitness, and competition, opening the door to new interests and friendships.
Dodgeball is played Mondays at 9 p.m. at the Kaplan Gym, while soccer is every Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the grass field between the tennis courts. Wednesdays feature volleyball at 9 p.m. in the Kaplan Gym, and every Friday night at 9, the Mount offers a ping-pong tournament at the Kaplan Center.
The Mount also provides a number of health and fitness classes open to the entire college community. These include self-defense sessions on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Yoga is taught on Mondays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Kaplan Dance Room. Insanity classes have begun in the Kaplan Aerobics Room; beginners can work out on Mondays at 5:00 p.m., while advanced sessions are held on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.
You can also get fit by swimming – just pick up a workout and log sheet before you begin and complete it when you can. Free pedometers are also available. Stop by the intramural office in the Kaplan Center to pick one up and start stepping to the new you!
