Three teams of Mount students campaigned vigorously last week to be voted in as the next president and vice president of our Student Government Association. After a voting period of March 6-8 and a submission of 450 votes, Edward Arnold and Joseph Galasso won the titles for the 2019-2020 school year.

Edward Arnold is a sophomore who served as the vice president of SGA this past year, and as the freshman class president in the 2017-2018 year. His running mate and future vice president, Joesph Galasso, is a junior who has no previous experience in the Mount’s student government, which is a first for someone of this position.

In their speeches on March 5 Arnold stated that he plans to take his experiences to improve student life in any way possible, and Galasso is ready to work hard in this new experience and will learn with the help of Arnold and the other SGA officers.
