Businessman and philanthropist Robert R. Dyson was named April 16 as the Mount’s 55th keynote commencement speaker.
Dyson is the Chairman and CEO of The Dyson-Kissner-Moran Corporation, which is a privately owned, diversified investment holding company that was founded by his father, Charles H. Dyson, in 1954.
Dyson graduated from Marietta College with a bachelor’s in economics and from Johnson
Graduate School of Management at Cornell University with a master’s in business administration.
Dyson has a dedication to philanthropy in his life, which he performs through his role of chairman of the Dyson Foundation. The foundation has made grants of $13.7 million in 2017 and nearly $360 million since its founding in 1957.
The 55th annual commencement will take place on Saturday, May 19.
