It’s a Friday night at Mount Saint Mary College and you are bored out of your mind. You feel the need to intellectually stimulate yourself. What do you do? You head down to Trivia Night, of course!

On Friday, October 4, while others were out dancing the night away, I was competing with friends for gift cards to the Campus Store.  Student Activities Programming Board Officer and sophomore, Brad Moody, said that his goals for the trivia night were “achieved,” which “were two-fold: [first] to have at least 35 people attend, and second to make sure [our] ends were met and we didn’t forget any details.”

Students were provided pizza, courtesy of our local Pizza Hut, as they competed in teams for the gift cards. I was a member of team HAM, which stood for Hanna (sophomore Hanna Officer), Arianna (sophomore Arianna Marcello) and Mallika (me). I was thrown off by the first category, which was sports. The next two categories were right up my alley, however: Disney and Movies & Music. The other categories were “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?”(a nod to the Jeff Foxworthy-helmed game show), “‘90s Television,” “MSMC,” and “Miscellaneous.”

Although HAM came in second place for the first round of trivia, we quickly lost our position and Bendover won first place. All in all, it was a fabulous night!
