Tour de Pine Bush-Bringing Awareness of Distracted Driving

(Pine Bush, N.Y.) – On Saturday, May 4th, the Pine Bush community will be hosting a bicycle ride for Chris Warren called Tour de Pine Bush. Last May, Chris lost both his left arm and leg in a motorcycle accident due to the distracted driving of another motorist.

Chris was very active with the local youth sports teams and an avid outdoor enthusiast, including hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, bicycling, etc. Chris also owned and operated a local landscaping business as a means to provide for his family.

The Tour de Pine Bush aims to bring awareness of distracted driving and to promote road sa

fety. The tour consists of 4 rides: a 5 mile ride for parents and their children, a 12 mile ride, a 20 mile ride and a 44 mile ride for experienced bicyclists.

The entry fees for the event are: $27 if registered before May 4th, $10 for children under 10, $20 for participants between the ages of 11-20 and $30 on the day of the event. Registration forms can be found online at and mailed to Tour de Pine Bush, P.O. Box 1413 Pine Bush, NY, 12566. All of the equipment and supplies for the race are being provided by the local businesses and residents of the community.
