This past week the MSMC community came together to celebrate the Spirit of the Mount.
Things kicked off with Mount Gear Monday where students were encouraged to dress in their favorite MSMC garb to earn points for their class. Tuesdays took things back in time with an 80s theme. On Tuesday, Henry’s was the hot spot for point-earning as they offered each class’s sandwiches. Students had the opportunity to get unique with footwear on Wack Sock Wednesday and finally, on Thursday, students were asked to wear their class shirt or color to cheer on their classmates at Mount Olympics.
The classic MSMC competition included everything that could’ve been expected and more including skits from each class, games, and relays, tug of war, and fun all around ending with a win for the class of 2020 seniors. Coin wars also took place throughout the week resulting in another win for seniors as well as over a thousand dollars raised.
The week concluded with the 24th annual bonfire held in the Guzman lot Friday night. Those who came were able to play games to earn tickets, take some pictures in the photo booth, enjoy an array of fall-themed snacks, and watch the performances of the dance team, Knight Notes, and Alpha Knights. This week was a great time for the Mount community to come together and celebrate the spirit of the Mount.
