The offices of Security & Safety, Title IX and Risk Management have all been consolidated and relocated to the Garden Apartment 1 (GA 1) as of the beginning of this 2021 Fall semester.
Students can obtain ID cards and parking permits in the front lobby and visit the 24-hour Security Operations Center in room 102 (previously located in Guzman Hall). The offices of the Director of Safety & Security, Richard Algarin, and Director of Title IX and Risk Management Matthew Byrne, are located on the second floor in rooms 203 and 205.
Algarin says, “a big positive about our move to the Garden Apartments is that we are now at a centralized location as a one-stop-shop for a number of different services and needs on campus.”
Prior to the move, students were required to visit the office with any issues only during weekday business hours, but they are now available 24 hours a day for any services students may need from printing a new ID card to filing a report.
Additionally, the blue light security system has been implemented at the entrance to campus.
“This move will now be much easier for really anyone, students, staff, parents and for the Mount community in general,” confirmed Algarin.
