Knight Notes, a club for musical performance on campus, had their auditions for Broadway Knight on Feb. 8. The auditions went fairly well according to Olivia Mantero, the President of Knight Notes. Most of the officers auditioned and one senior who is not a club member auditioned.

Broadway Knight is a performance that is hosted by Knight Notes during the spring semester that contains a combination of group numbers, duets and solos. Mantero, who is a senior at Mount Saint Mary College, says that this will be her last Broadway Knight show and is hopeful that they will be able to have a “normal” show this year indoors.

Knight Notes will be holding their first open practice for Broadway Knight at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. The practice is open to anyone who wants to come. If you missed the auditions last week you still have a chance to participate!

If performing isn’t your style you can still be a part of the club! The club isn’t all about singing and performances. Throughout the semester they are planning different events including bingos, a sing-a-long movie night and a talent show.

“It’s a very simple laid back club. We have a couple of performances every year, so it’s not a massive commitment but it’s a lot of fun. It’s just something to do during the week to wind down,” says Mantero.

The tentative date for Broadway Knight is at the end of April. To stay updated on their activities throughout the semester and the Broadway Knight performance, follow Knight Notes on Instagram: @msmcknightnotes.
