Campus Ministry has various fundraisers going on right now that you can participate in. Mount Messenger has featured a few events bellow.

Thanksgiving Food Drive—Campus Ministry is collecting non-perishable food items for local Newburgh families this Thanksgiving until Friday, Nov. 22. Items needed include instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned vegetables, canned black beans, canned fruit, canned sweet potatoes/yams, bagged rice, and canned gravy; however, any and all donations will be accepted.

Campus Ministry is also running a coin drive in conjunction with the Thanksgiving Food Drive. All monetary donations will be used to buy the aforementioned food items.

The Thanksgiving Food Drive is sponsored by Loaves and Fishes, an organization that provides food to hundreds of families in the Newburgh area. All items can be dropped off at the Campus Ministry office, Hudson 106.

Coat Drive—Campus Ministry is also running a coat drive. Coats can be dropped off in the bin outside of the Campus Ministry office in Hudson Hall until Friday, Nov. 1. All coats should be clean and in good condition. Donations will go to Newburgh Ministry and will help local community members.

The Giving Tree—Campus Ministry will be running its annual Giving Tree beginning on Monday, Nov. 4. Pick up your ornament at the Campus Ministry office. Each ornament has a specific gift for a child of a certain age. All gifts should remain unwrapped and can be brought to the Campus Ministry Office. All gifts will be donated to the Catholic Charities of Orange County and will benefit families in the local community.

Be sure to help Campus Ministry give to the less fortunate people of our local community this holiday season. For more information on any of these fundraisers, please stop by the Campus Ministry office, or contact Alexander LaPoint ( or Father Francis Amodio (
