On March 8th, President Ann Carson Daly announced her resignation as president of Mount Saint Mary College.
“I am writing to let you know that in the last two months some serious family issues have developed to the point that they need to be addressed immediately. To do this adequately will require frequent and extended periods of absence from Newburgh—which would be incompatible with my continuing to serve as President. Accordingly, my last day in the office will be April 15,” said Daly via email sent to students, faculty and staff.
In the letter, Daly goes on to thank her colleagues, student leaders and dominican sisters, as well as members of the board.
“May God bless each of you and Mount Saint Mary College abundantly,” Carson ended.
Mount Messenger wishes Dr. Daly the best with all her future endeavors.
