The Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is holding three “Light The Night” fundraising walks this fall to fund the fight against blood cancers. The Orange County Walk will take place on Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at the Historic Racetrack in Goshen, NY.

The Light The Night staff is in the process of securing volunteers to help out at all three walks! Specifically, they are looking for students to volunteer and assist in areas such as: set-up and break-down, check-in, cheer stations, route guides, team photos, patient services tent, VIP & Top Team tents, kids/activities area, and other areas. Volunteers are needed throughout the day and evening and it is a great way for students to demonstrate commitment to the community.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact the Light The Night staff at 914-821-8362. They need as many helping hands as possible!
