Mount Saint Mary College’s Student Activities department is home to a variety of clubs. There is something for everyone to get involved with. This idea becomes more of a truth as yet another club has been approved by Student Activities.

The name of the club is Elite Knight Trends (EKT), and is run by Adrian Willis, a sophomore at MSMC.

In order to better understand the new club, Mount Messenger asked Willis a few questions:

Mount Messenger: When are the meetings going to be and when do they start?

Adrian Willis: They [began] on Monday, Feb. 17 at 8:00 p.m. in Hudson 103, and will be held bi-weekly on Mondays.

MM: What is the basis of the club?

AW: The basis of the club is to provide an environment for individuals to express themselves through fashion trends. It is also an opportunity for members to come together and express fashions from different cultures as well as their own personal style.

MM: What kind of events will come from the club?

AW: With the main focus of fashion, this club would like to collaborate with many organizations such as the Career Center for panels on how to dress for career scenarios and careers in fashion, a possible picture magazine launch with the Mount Messenger, and shopping trips with student activities. Aside from collaborations we would also like to have clothing drives, clothing swaps, fashion shows, and seminars on make-up, designing clothes, and showing self-expression in fashion.

MM: Is there anything else you want people to know about EKT?

AW: This club ultimately wishes to reach out to all students interested in different forms of fashion, and we would like to enlighten as well as be enlightened by members regarding culturally diverse forms of fashion. We would just like everyone to show up and express their opinions on fashion.

So if you have a passion for fashion, this may be the club for you! Stop by their second meeting tonight at 8:00 p.m. in Hudson 103 to get involved!
