A brick, desolate road has now become a lively place of dining and shopping. Downtown Liberty Street in Newburgh not only draws in locals, but also people from New York City that have been relocating to Newburgh to enjoy upcoming eateries and shops.

Opened in 2016, the bistro offers American cuisine influenced by French cooking techniques. In 2019, they expanded their space and opened a bar and lounge next door to the restaurant. Enjoy indoor and outdoor eating or take out.

With a 1960s theme, the bar/restaurant offers classic bar grub along with vegan friendly options. Newburgh native, Marlene Urquia, says the vinyl records plastered on the ceiling are one of the many things to enjoy about the restaurant.

Originally located in Cornwall and women owned, this storefront has a range of sustainable home and living items. Shoppers can also find unique accessories, bath and body care and stationery products.
Newburgh Flour Shop: 109 Liberty Street (845) 568-3400
A family-owned bakery that specializes in artisan breads, baked goods, pastries and wedding cakes. Online ordering is available, along with advanced ordering (if you want to plan your breakfast for tomorrow).

With two locations (Newburgh and Cornwall), this coffee lounge not only has coffee and espresso drinks, but also soup, bagels and pastries. While inside, enjoy local artwork and photographs hung in the space.
