Thursday, March 20th marked Mount Saint Mary College’s (MSMC) annual talent show sponsored by the MSMC Dance Team. The energized event took place in Hudson Auditorium. Eleven people participated in the show and talents included singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and performing magic tricks. Raffles were held during breaks and intermission with prizes including gift certificates to Alexis Diner, Randones, and Hoopla gift certificates. Baked goods were being sold throughout the show, with all proceeds going to Relay For Life.

Colleen Thornton, a current freshman and member of the dance team, said, “I think there were a lot of talented performers and everyone who performed did an excellent job. We thank everyone who came out to support them!”

Three people were rewarded prizes. Third place went to Brenna Cooney for her lyrical and tap dance performances. Second place was rewarded to Rachel McGinty. McGinty sang a mashed up rendition of “Back to December” and “You’re Not Sorry” by Taylor Swift, and “Apologize” by One Republic. Joe Certa won first place. Joe chose to perform magic tricks for the crowd, and it was definitely entertaining for all. His witty and clever personality brought laughs from the audience as well.

The Mount community is looking forward to what next year has to bring.
