Mount students can now order breakfast, lunch and dinner – both from The View and from Henry’s – via their mobile devices, entirely contact-free.

On Sept. 22, the Mount implemented a new online food ordering service that enables students, faculty and staff to place meal orders in advance, as well as to specify chosen pickup times and locations. The option is offered between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. at Henry’s and between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. at The View.

When ordering, customers can choose from six vendor options: Henry’s, Henry’s (Meal Swipe), The View (Deli Salad), The View (Deli Salad Meal Swipe), The View (Grill), or The View (Grill Meal Swipe). Customers may also choose from a variety of payment options, including Board Meal, Points, Advantage Dollars or Mount Money. Anyone paying with a Board Meal must choose a “Meal Swipe” option when ordering. Balances linked to a user’s CBORD account can be viewed when placing an order.

“For me, the Mount’s mobile food ordering option helps everybody. The View and eating areas in general on campus are pretty much the only spots on the campus, at least in buildings where everyone goes, where peoples’ faces are exposed with no mask on,” said Robbie Stratakos, a Mount senior. “With this app, you can order food to pick up and go wherever you want, eating with less people around and maybe feeling a little more safe.”

Anyone can access the new service via the GET Mobile app, which is available for download in the Apple app store and in the Google Play store. When using the app, Mount ID cards are uploaded to a user’s smartphone, allowing them to scan their card at all registers without engaging in direct person-to-person contact. The service can also be accessed through CBORD.
