Are you ready to compete with your fellow Mount peers? Are you ready to show your school spirit? Spirit week is here, beginning Monday, Oct. 22. Here is a summary of what you will see leading up to the Bonfire on Saturday, Oct. 27:
The Spirit Weeks Days:
- Mount Gear Monday (wear Mount apparel)
- Tie Dye Tuesday (wear anything tie dye)
- On Wednesdays we wear PINK (wear pink for breast cancer awareness)
- Class t-shirt Thursday (wear class T-shirt or whatever color your class is designated as)
Check-in for attire during spirit week is in Hudson in the student activities office! The more participation each class has, the more points your class earns towards Mount Olympics!
Monday: Coin Wars Begin
Pennies are positive points and all silver coins and dollars are negative points. Place the pennies in your class jug in Hudson and place silver coins and dollars into your opponent classes’ jugs to lower their value.
Tuesday: Sandwich Competition
We will be having our second annual sandwich competition at Henry’s. Each class has created a sandwich having to do with their themes and has given it to the Henry’s staff to make. Ordering your class sandwich will give them points towards Mount Olympics.
Thursday: Mount Olympics- 7 p.m.
Get ready to watch the four classes compete head to head in different events to see which class comes out on top. The winner will be announced that night, with events from the week adding on to your classes’ score.
Friday: Powder Puff- 7 p.m.
Powder puff, an all female flag football battle between the classes. Support your class and watch the all male cheerleading teams cheer on each class.
Saturday: Bonfire- 6 p.m.
The pinnacle of Spirit of the Mount week will feature themed fall and Halloween food, performances from Knight Notes, Alpha Step Team and Dance Team, along with clubs hosting various fun activity tables.
