With finals right around the corner, college students are more likely to experience high levels of stress and consecutive sleep-deprived nights. Still, it doesn’t have to be all bad. When times get tough, it is important to take it easy on yourself – reward your efforts with a delectable treat or two. Everything is more tasteful with a sweet, sugary snack on the side, right?

Here’s a couple of treats to get you through those late nights and stressful moments:

  1. The Mug Brownie

A small baking activity to step away for your studies and add some goodness to your all-nighters. All you need to do is add four teaspoons of flour, four teaspoons of sugar, two teaspoons of cocoa, two teaspoons of water, two teaspoons of oil and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla into a mug of your choice. (Make sure your mug is large enough to allow the brownie room to rise without toppling over.) Mix the ingredients until smooth and thick, then microwave for 30 seconds.

  1. Mug Treats

Head on over to Walmart or Target for Betty Crocker’s “Mug Treats.” For a mere $3, you can get four servings of Rainbow Chip Cake, Triple Chocolate Cake Mix, Soft-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies, Confetti Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie, among other delicious flavors. It’s cheap, easy to make and a sweet treat to enjoy by yourself or with friends.
