Everyone loves fall. What else could you ask for besides comfy clothes, coffee, and colorful leaves?

Oh, that’s right, fun fall activities!

The results of this issue’s poll showed that 38% of Mount Saint Mary College students list “apple picking and pumpkin carving” as their favorite fall activity.

And it makes sense because the Hudson Valley offers many great apple picking orchards to go to.

For those who haven’t been able to go apple picking, there is still time before the weather becomes too cold!

Hurry and take a trip to Lawrence Farm Orchards in Newburgh. Just a little further down the road is Jones Farm in Cornwall. And, over the bride in Dutchess County you can travel to Fishkill Farms right off of route i84.

For those who are willing to go the distance, head on over to Warwick to visit Pennings Orchard & Country Store, Ochs Orchard, or Applewood Orchards for some fresh apple cider, apple cider donuts, and pumpkins-a-plenty!

Some MSMC students had other fall activities as their favorites in mind.

“Football games and tailgating” came in a close second place with 28% of the votes.

“Oktoberfest” and “hiking and other outdoor activities” tied in third place with 15%. “Hay rides and haunted houses” came in last place with 9%.
